Community Partners

  • Chapel FM – Based in the well-loved, old Seacroft Chapel, Chapel FM Arts Centre hosts a jam-packed radio schedule, music, poetry, screenings, courses and classes.

With fully equipped broadcasting studios, performance and event spaces all on site, it’s a great place to get creative. Chapel FM Arts Centre is home to various resident groups and associations, Seacroft Friends and Neighbours programme and a welcoming cafe space to share ideas and a cuppa.


  • Church of the Epiphany – The parish of Leeds, Gipton: Church of the Epiphany is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSOs. 

  • Denis Healy Centre– The Denis Healey Community Centre is an amazing, resident-led space run by Seacroft Community on Top. The building has a community gym and garage, as well as countless sessions throughout the week for children and families of all ages run by SCOT and other local organisations and groups.

  • East Leeds Project – The East Leeds Project aim to achieve positive change in our community through sustainable, equitable and accessible approaches to contemporary practice, working with artists, local people and other partners.

Our focus on the Wyke Beck Valley area of East Leeds enables us to explore issues around art’s relationship with climate change, public space and urban development, and to propose responses as and through curatorial activism. This work is shaped through ongoing dialogue with our partners and realised through co-production wherever appropriate.


  • Fall Into Place Theatre – Changing lives through creativity and connection – We believe lasting wellbeing comes from a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. We use creativity and fun to bring people together, building confidence, communication and wellbeing.

  • GIPSIL – Realising potential – Housing & Support. Through our OWL and Engage Leeds services, GIPSIL provides housing-related support to young people, adults and families across Leeds.

  • Gipton Action for Elderly – A neighbourhood network for older people in the Gipton area, running a variety of activities and support. Activities and services to help older people in Gipton live independently, and providing help and support to people who may be vulnerable, lonely or isolated.

  • Gipton Together – Since its launch in January 2003 Gipton Together has worked with children/young people aged 5yrs -18 yrs. from the communities of Gipton/Harehills and surrounding areas, areas scant of opportunities for young people.

Through arts and sports activities for young people our sessions act as a crime prevention and crime diversionary alternative. 

Gipton Together addresses social exclusion providing community based activities, and a safe place for children/young people to go in the evenings – and alternative to ‘hanging out’ on the streets.

We encourage young people to participate, to acquire and develop their ‘transferable’ skills, to raise their aspirations, to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, self-esteem and confidence; and with the support of the wider community, to challenge the barriers between generations.


  • Kentmere Community Centre – With something for all ages, Kentmere Community Centre hosts a busy programme of groups, sessions and events, with spaces you can book for your own occasions too!

  • Leeds Domestic Violence Service – Leeds Domestic Violence Service supports all people in Leeds affected by domestic violence and abuse to understand their experiences and get help.

  • LS14 – The LS14 Trust is a not for profit organisation, owned and led by the local community of Leeds 14.

  • North Point – Our purpose is to deliver effective mental healthcare and to improve the mental health system in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.


  • Seacroft Community on Top (SCOT) – We are a constituted group in the heart of the Seacroft we pride ourselves in having a positive approach for our community to enable people to get out and make new relationships with others within the community.


  • Seacroft Parish – Putting heart and soul into Seacroft since the estate was built, Seacroft Parish is a busy team of growing Church of England churches, here to serve everyone in the community. There’s St. Richard’s  and St. James’ and St Paul’s.

  • Space 2 – Working creatively with communities to develop a thriving, hopeful and sustainable future together.


  • The Old Fire Station – A space where local people can come to socialise, access support and simply relax and have fun. An opportunity for children and young people, adults and older people to maximise their potential, improve their well being and quality of life under one roof.

  • The Roost – The Roost is our community room run by the Practice Health Champions for local people based at Oakwood Lane Medical Practice

  • Touchstone – Our passion is to secure the rights and entitlements of the people we work with and for. We aim to make the cities we work in more culturally competent and better able to meet the needs of those vulnerable people who live there.

  • Yorkshire Wildlife Trust – The Wyke Beck Valley, in east Leeds, is part of a joint partnership between Leeds City Council and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

From its origin at Waterloo Lake, in Roundhay Park, Wyke Beck runs through the Gipton, Seacroft, Killingbeck and Halton boroughs of east Leeds, emerging into the River Aire opposite Rothwell Country Park. Working in partnership Leeds City Council and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust aim to improve the habitats of the five local nature reserves (LNRs) that make up Wyke Beck Valley


  • We Are Seacroft – We Are Seacroft is a group of residents and organisations who live in, work in and care about Seacroft

  • Zest Leeds – Zest offers support and opportunity to people living in disadvantaged areas of Leeds, addressing health inequalities and social isolation through activities which improve physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing.

Financial and Practical Support

  • Age UK Leeds – Free information and advice for older people and their carers.

  • Carers Leeds – The home of support for all unpaid carers in Leeds.

  • Care and Repair – Aim to give the choice of living independently to everyone.

  • Green Doctor – Specialist Fuel and energy advice across Leeds (and the North East and Yorkshire), offering support on most areas including tariff comparison/switching, energy bills and debt, meter connection, access to emergency top ups, Emergency broken heating/hot water/gas appliances, priority services Register sign up for vulnerable people and energy efficiency advice.  

Green Doctor also work as part of the HomePlus Leeds project which includes Care & Repair Leeds and AgeUK, and covers a range of home care support for the elderly, including home safety measures and a ‘hospital to home’ scheme.


  • Leeds Welfare Support Scheme – Emergency/Urgent support for residents unable to afford to pay for essentials such as food, gas and electric. Signposting and referrals are also available to other support organisations for wider help and support. 


  • Scope Disability Energy Support – Service open to any disabled person or households in England or Wales, providing expert advice including managing energy debt, switching tariffs or supplier, energy efficiency, accessing energy benefits, grants and trusts, contacting or complaining to suppliers, understanding gas and electricity bills and understanding heating systems.
